Make plans nowto attend! Florence Crittenton's 10th Annual Teaming Up For Kids Luncheon ion March 1, 2012, at the Arizona Biltmore! This year's event features famed Arizona Diamondback Luis Gonzalez as our keynote speaker.
Now in its 10th year, the Teaming Up For Kids Luncheon is Florence Crittenton's signature
event. Funds raised from the event support the agency's core programs such as
Transitional Living, Therapeutic Group Home and Community-Based Services. Previous
keynote speakers include Bill Walton, Henry Aaron, Lynda Carter and
Jane Seymour.
Each year during the event, the agency honors a HOPE Award recipient; an individual who provides a Head start, Opportunity, Positive future and Education for children -
or HOPE. For the first time,
Florence Crittenton asked for nominations from the public for our prestigious
HOPE Award. Past recipients of the HOPE Award include Gerda Weissmann Klein, Gene D'Adamo
of The Arizona Republic, the Honorable Janet Napolitano, the Duke of York,
Wayne Gretzsky and Jack Nicklaus. This year, we are pleased to present the HOPE Award to Dr. Robert Spetzler, Director of Barrow Neurological Institute.

Thank you to our amazing supporters, Valley personalities, donors and shoppers for making Flo's on 7th's 3rd Annual Heels for Healing event a success. We also wish to extend special gratitude to Jessi Colter, Clear Channel Radio, Dillard's, Allison DuBois,
E & J's Designer Shoe Outlet, Lisa James, Jordin Sparks and Studio No 5.
Your support of
Heels for Healing helped us raise nearly $13,000, exceeding our goal. 100% of the net proceeds from the event support Florence Crittenton's programs such
as Transitional Living and Therapeutic Group Home, that provide safe housing, health care, education, counseling and independent living skills to at-risk girls in our community.
Anxious shoppers line up outside the
doors just before Flo's on 7th opens.

Florence Crittenton is thankful for our longstanding partnership with Valley of the Sun Active 20-30 Club. In addition to selecting our agency as the beneficiary of Viva
Las Vegas, club members meet here monthly for a "Girls Night Out." As volunteers, they provide activities, play games and act as role models and caring supporters
for
the girls. Over the past 15 years, the club has donated almost $500,000 to
Florence Crittenton!

The 9th Annual Teaming Up For Kids Luncheon was a tremendous success, generating a record $574,000! Keynote speaker Bill Walton made a slam dunk with his motivational words of wisdom, sharing lessons learned through a brilliant career, his focus on teamwork and ability
to overcome adversity. HOPE Award recipient Gerda Weissmann Klein inspired guests with her powerful story of surviving the Holocaust. Her message of tolerance, hope, respect for others and the empowerment of
students through education and community service touched everyone in the room.
This event raises money to help further our mission of providing every girl whose life we touch safety, hope and opportunity. Through the support of our donors and more than 900 attendees, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of at-risk girls. Thanks to an outpouring of generosity, the event was our most successful to date. Our heartfelt thanks to our event co-chairs, committee members, board of directors, donors, sponsors, volunteers and staff who worked diligently to make this event successful.
Plans are already underway for an equally, if not more, successful 10th Annual Teaming
Up For Kids Luncheon. Please save the date for March, 1, 2012 and be sure to join us next year!
